SQM type | | Select SQM-LE or SQM-LU |
SQM-LE IP Address | | Address of the SQM-LE you are trying to read. |
SQM-LE Port | | SQM-LE port. |
SQM-LU COM Port | | The list shows available COM ports. Select the COM port your SQM-LU is attached to. |
Read only when sun below | | Needs to be an integer (degrees). -18 astronomical darkness, -12 nautical, -6 civil. It's best to have it at -18 or a little above this value so the chart is easier to read. |
Latitude/logitude | | Latitude and logitude of the SQM. This is only used if you have the above criteria set, so the application can calculate the sun altitude |
lightpollutionmap.info key | | The key you were given. |
Enclosure offset | | If your enclosure has a glass window then this value is substracted from the reader value. The window reflects some of the light from the sky, so the reader reports the sky a bit darker. This offset solves this issue (the original enclosure reports sky to be dimmer by 0.11 magnitude, so this is the default value) |
Reader interval | | Interval in seconds for each reading. Needs to be above 60 seconds. Usually 120 or 300 seconds is a good value |
Begin reading at start | | If checked the application starts reading as soon as it is opened. Useful if the application is started when Windows starts. |
| | |
Start/Stop | | Starts or stops the continues reading. |
Log | | Show the current reading or any errors. If nothing is shown after reading is started then the app is having problems contacting the SQM device. |
