PHD2 Mail Alert

About

I wanted an application that would alert me whenever PHD2 stopped guding due to clouds, fog, mount errors etc. So I looked around to see if somebody already made this. It's the first thing I usually do before wasting time. Lucky me, it already exists! After some hassling I managed to get it to send a test e-mail (wouldn't work with my provider, works with gmail, but you have to jump through a few hoops to get it working). Unfortunatelly it doesn't detect PHD2 is running no matter what. Hmm...

This app is pretty simple to make, so I spend a few hours to make my own.
Maybe some one else might also find it useful.

PHD2 Mail Alert v1.1.0.0 (Windows)

How to use

1. Download, place it where you want and open the "PHD2 Mail Alert" app.
2. Fill in all empty fields (e-mail settings and such).
3. Press "send test email". If you recieve the email then great, if not then fiddle more with e-mail settings until you do.
4. Open PHD2 and make sure that "Tools->Enable server" is checked. It should be by default I think. Start guding.
5. Press the "Watch star" button in the "PHD2 Mail Alert".
6. When a star is lost and guiding it stopped, you will receive an email. The app will stop monitoring PHD2 after it sends the mail, so you have to press the "Watch star" again.

Disclamer: The app comes absolutely without any warranty or guaranties that it actually works.
